Is the Balmoral Arms accessible & DDA compliant?

Our Balmoral Arms has a level access. We have one guestroom on the ground floor with a walk-in shower and all our public areas are fully accessible. Please contact Balmoral Arms directly for further information regarding our accessible guestroom.

Do you cater for guests with allergies?

If you have any allergies, we ask that you speak to our reception team when checking in or to our restaurant team before placing an order to ensure we can cater to your intolerance.

Does Balmoral Arms have hotel WiFi and business services?

Yes, free WiFi internet access is available throughout our inn, including most of our guest bedrooms.

Fax and photocopying services are also available (at a charge).

What is your cancellation policy at Balmoral Arms?

At Balmoral, we offer our guests a Standard Cancellation Policy. If you are unable to make your booking, please notify us directly by 2pm the day prior to your arrival. This does not apply to pre-paid and non-refundable bookings.

Do you have car parking?

We do not have parking directly outside our inn however, there is a free car park within a two-minute walk from Balmoral. To load and unload your luggage we allow our guests to park directly outside our inn.

What time can you check in and out of Balmoral Arms?

Guest check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 11am. We also offer early check-in and check-out times if advance notice is given. A supplementary charge of £35 is placed on this request.

Is Balmoral Arms family-friendly?

Yes, we can accommodate family holidays in Royal Deeside. With a limited number of family rooms available, we look forward to welcoming your whole family to our Aberdeenshire inn. Plus, children up to the age of 3 stay free and, cots and high chairs can be arranged upon request, free of charge. Children aged 3 to 12 are welcome on a reduced daily rate.

What currency and credit cards do you accept at Balmoral Arms?

Our inn can accept payments made in cash (Sterling only) and most major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Delta, Solo, American Express, Discover & Diners Club International). Please be aware that Balmoral Arms does not accept personal or travellers cheques as a form of payment.

Advance payment may be made by any of the aforementioned methods or by bank transfer. Please contact our finance department for details.

Can we tip the staff at Balmoral?

Most of our Balmoral Arms guests now prefer to pay via debit or credit card including a charge for great service. To make this easier we have added an automatic service charge - we’ve made it a default 10% and you can change it to any level you wish including no service charge.

Our teams have always shared service charge and this is no different - every penny you might want to give is shared equally by our teams through our “Fair Fund”. There is no administration cost or anything retained by the company, what you may give is guaranteed to go to 100% to our team.

Service charge is entirely optional, if you would like us to remove it, you need only ask.

Do you welcome dogs at Balmoral Arms, in Aberdeenshire?

Yes, we are a dog-friendly inn and welcome families and their family dogs. We can accommodate up to two dogs per room and fresh drinking water is available on request. Your dog(s) are welcome in many of our guestrooms, the reception area, the lounge and The Ghillies Bar. All we ask is that you clean up after your dog in consideration of our other guests.

Remember, we charge an additional £20 per evening to clean up after your furry friend.

Do you allow smoking in the Balmoral Arms?

Guests are not permitted to smoke in our Balmoral Arms as we are committed to providing our guests with the ultimate holiday experience. All bedrooms and public areas are non-smoking.

Does the Balmoral Arms cater for guests with special diets?

We try and cater for just about any special diet, but advance notice is preferred for unusual requirements that may require specialist items to be ordered in advance. Vegetarian options are available in the restaurant on request.

Do you cater for special occasions?

If you're celebrating during your stay with us at Balmoral Arms, we can help make it memorable. Reception is happy to assist with arranging any of the following, to make your stay extra special - Champagne, chocolates, flowers and celebration cakes.
