Drink in Royal Deeside
Guests and locals are welcome for drinks in the lounge or our Ceilidh Bar at Deeside Inn. The Scottish craic between guests and the inn’s team bring an authentic Highland feel to the place.
A selection of wine, whisky and ales are available from the bar, and hot drinks can be ordered at any time of the day. Sandwiches and light bites are available from our lounge service menu between 12.00pm and 2.30pm.
Live music is a growing, popular feature at Deeside Inn, with past performances including post-punk, pop and rock n’ roll. As our reputation magnifies we are attracting bigger and more diverse names and this is part of the inn that we are really proud of and are excited to nurture moving forward.

The Ceilidh Bar and lounge have retained much of their original Victorian stylings, including wood panelled beams and natural wooden floors. The lounge also benefits from a lovely open fireplace which creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings and keeps you warm during the days of the cooler months.
Hot and cold sandwiches and a selection of cakes are available from our lounge service menu until 2.30pm, with hot drinks being available any time. Braw Scottish Suppers can be ordered in the evenings with traditional dishes of stovies, haggis, neeps and tatties and Aberdeenshire fish pie, served in the bar.
The Ceilidh Bar, furnished in Scottish tweeds with a contemporary feel, seats 55, with standing room for up to 75 guests, making for a great crowd when we have a night of live music on. Terrorvision frontman Tony Wright, Roddy Woomble of Idlewild, plus regular jam nights with Alisdair “Pops” Johnson and friend have been just some of the action Deeside has seen of late. With the Malt Whisky Trail nearby, the Deeside prides itself on its extensive malt whisky collection, with over 40 to choose from. Ask a member of the bar team for their recommendations.
The Ceilidh Bar has a really good selection of local bottled ales, curently: Six Degrees North of Stonehaven; Brew Dog from Aberdeen; Windswept from Lossiemouth; and award-winning Cairngorms Brewery ales. Guest ales on draft change regularly with favourites from Inveralmond in Perth and the closer to home Royal Deeside Brewery.
Traditional bar games are a regular sight in the bar with skittles and carpet bowls rallying up the competition between the good-natured locals.
