Deeside Inn is known for its traditional Scottish hospitality and lively music scene as much as it is for its homely lounge, open fires and welcoming bar with quality homemade food. Awarded its four star inn status by the AA, General Manager Joanna and her team pride themselves on their reputation for quality service.
The décor of the inn is reflective of the Victorian era, when the inn was originally built. Many period features such as wooden panelling, wooden beamed ceilings give Deeside Inn its character – and you will even find Queen Victoria’s famous wooden toilet (ask us when you get here and we can fill you in on that little gem of history!).
- In the heart of Royal Deeside
- Homely, warm, open fire places
- Live music venue
- Restaurant, lounge and bar
There is always something going on… Deeside Inn has built up a strong reputation over the last few years as a venue for live music. Performers include the The Jetsonics, Terrorvision front man Tony Wright, Charlie McKennon of Capercaillie and Roddy Woomble of Idlewild – to name a few, have all graced the stage at Deeside. Look out for up and coming events on our What’s On page or LIKE us on Facebook for the latest updates.
For activities leaning more towards the great outdoors, Ballater is ripe for Skiing at Glenshee or the Lecht, exploring the mountains in the surrounding Cairngorm National Park, a day of walking or cycling (beginner to expert routes available) – before you head back to the inn for a hearty meal, a dram by the fire and some legendary craic in the bar!
