Glen Moray Distillery
Experts in the art of distillery, this award-winning single malt has been distilled on the banks of the sparkling River Lossie since 1897. Even today, the whisky is distilled by hand in a steady fashion, never rushed and always in balance. The traditions and learnings of their ancestors are not forgotten, which shines through in the complex whisky produced. A unique feature of the tours at Glen Moray Distillery is that the tours are conducted by the distillery workers themselves – who better to explain the inner workings of the process than the passionate staff who know the distillery like the back of their hand?

Although Benromach holds the title of ‘Speyside's smallest distillery’ – they more than compensate for their lack of size with an award-winning, high quality end product. The small team of experienced, friendly staff hand-craft the whisky from barley to barrel. Whisky has been distilled here since 1898, and the traditional methods used have remained to this very day. There are a variety of tours available from simple tastings up to personal tours conducted by Distillery Manager, Keith Cruickshank.

A truly unique and distinguished single malt whisky is produced here, often being described as crisp, fresh and light. The unique flavour and colour profile of the spirit arises from its distillation process, which allows only the purest whisky to become Glen Grant. This is achieved through using incredibly tall stills and purifiers on both distillations. The slow ageing process, high quality ingredients and incredibly passionate staff make this a fantastic distillery to visit for a tour and of course, a taste test.
