County Clays
Shooting Centre
The shooting centre is the largest sporting clay pigeon range in Scotland. It consists of 14 stands, each incorporating six to nine different targets, from bolting rabbits and driven grouse to fast pheasants.

County Clays
Open seven days a week
County Clays shooting centre is housed within the 280 acre Dunkeld Estate. This is one of the most scenic shooting facilities in Scotland. Visitors can come to the shooting just for the activities or can also stay at the Dunkeld House Hotel.
Run by Clark Taylor County Clays prides itself on the quality of its lessons. Clark and his team of instructors are all APSI Level 2 qualified and draw on their long-standing experience to provide expert tuition to guns of all abilities.
Highland Offroad Quad Treks
Treks run 7 days a week, four times a day (9.30am, 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm).
The adventure starts on the assault course where you will tackle camel-back humps, cobbles and steep hillsides, later moving into the forest where you will experience wide-open tracks and narrow woodland paths. Quad treks are suitable for children over the age of 12 if accompanied by an adult.

With access to over 280 acres of highland estate, not only will you have fun, but you will enjoy some of Perthshire’s finest scenery and wildlife along the way.
Land Rover Experience
Land Rover Experiences run 7 days a week, all year round.
Your experience begins at the Land Rover Experience Centre at Butterstone Loch, just four miles from the hotel. You will experience a warm Scottish welcome from the team before heading off with your instructor to the nursery slopes, assault course and forest tracks within Dunkeld Park.
Extend your Experience to a full day and the afternoon will be spent putting newly-found skills to the text on one of the nearby highland estates. Land Rover Experience Scotland currently has access to over 150 miles of private off-road tracks.

The Canyoning Company

Canyoning is a fantastic activity for everyone! The Canyoning Company are specialists in canyoning and provided the highest quality of service, equipment and thrill seeking. They are based in Dunkeld but have canyoning locations throughout the whole of Scotland with some of the best, here in Perthshire.
Bruar and Acharn canyon are great for beginners, but are fantastic fun for people with experience canyoning. These canyons are within a 15-minute walk from the roadside and have a good mix of jumps, slides and abseils which are all optional. These canyoning experiences are suitable for everyone, especially families and larger groups.
Cycling in Dunkeld

Highland Perthshire has some spectacular choices of off-road routes for mountain bikes and stunning road cycling around Perthshire. Dunkeld is well known for its off-road routes, and with a wide selection to pick from you can choose from a half-day to a full-day cycle.
With Sustrans cycling route 77 the Salmon run going past our doorstep, this means you can jump on your road bike and head straight from the hotel. With Pitlochry just 13 miles up the road, it makes for a great day out. You can have a full day of it and enjoy lunch in one of Pitlochry’s eateries before making the journey back.
Dunkeld Golf Course
The club was originally constituted in 1892, and the original course was designed by the legendary Old Tom Morris and situated in the village of Birnam.
Officially opened in 1922 by Her Grace, The Duchess of Atholl, the course has a magnificent heathland setting on a hillside above the historic town of Dunkeld. The passing decades have seen many improvements made whilst retaining a unique local character.
The course is one of the most picturesque in Perthshire, a real hidden gem with each hole affording not only a new and interesting challenge for the golfer, but also ever changing views of the glorious surrounding countryside.
