Meet the chef
With over a decade of high-calibre culinary experience, Paul Tyrell has refined his expertise in some of Scotland’s most prestigious establishments. Most recently, he served as Head Chef at Turnberry, a Forbes Five Star hotel, where he led a dynamic team in creating exquisite dishes that honoured Scottish heritage. This is Paul's return to Fonab Castle, where he now returns to lead the kitchen with innovative passion and mastery.

Fonab Castle is beautifully situated on the banks of Loch Faskally, near Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands. For guests arriving by car, take the A9 north from Edinburgh or Glasgow and follow signs to Pitlochry. From there, continue toward Loch Faskally on Foss Road, where you’ll find Fonab Castle.
If you’re travelling by train, Pitlochry Station is a convenient option with regular services from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, and it’s only a short taxi ride to the castle.
