Investment continues as Crerar Hotels announces refurb of Nairn hotel
Work is starting on the iconic Golf View to transform its existing country club into the area’s most luxurious spa – which will be named ‘Coast’.
Scottish hotel group, Crerar Hotels is continuing to deliver on its commitment to investment in its people and portfolio – this time announcing a six-figure investment in Golf View Hotel & Spa.
Crerar Hotel Group is spending £850,000 on upgrading the spa within the Nairn property – part of a wider programme of work across three of its seven four- and five-star hotels and inns, and the first phase of the hotel group’s ambitious plans to offer outstanding experiences across each of its spa hotels.
Work is starting on the iconic Golf View to transform its existing country club into the area’s most luxurious spa – which will be named ‘Coast’. Plans will see the number of therapy suites doubled as well as the addition of Scotland’s first ‘stone bath’ steam alongside a Himalayan salt therapy room.
‘Coast’ will continue to develop into the summer with the addition of the ‘Beach Hut’ – a private spa experience located close to the beach. Much like Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa’s ‘Wilderness Deck’, Beach Hut takes exclusive use within nature to a new level in Scotland.
The refurbishment is part of an ongoing programme of investment going into the New Year, which will see a total of £4.5 million spent across Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa in Argyll at Bute and the Balmoral Arms (formerly Deeside Inn) at Ballater, as well as Golf View Hotel & Spa.
Carolyn Carrington, General Manager of Golf View Hotel & Spa, said:
“Investing in Golf View Hotel & Spa means we can offer guests the highest standards and best possible experiences as they take in all that our stunning corner of Scotland has to offer.
“The introduction of Coast will go even further in helping us to showcase the best in authentic Scottish hospitality – which is particularly important as international travel begins to well and truly open up.
“We’re very much looking forward to starting work – and even more so to showing off the results of the refurbishment when it is complete.”
The tranche of investment across the three properties comes just months after Crerar Hotels unveiled the results of a £500,000 investment in the five-star Glencoe Inn and a £3.5 million transformation of Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa.
It takes the Group’s total spend on the portfolio to £10 million over the past 12 months.
