Last Chance To Become Scottish Hotel Groups First ‘Ambassadog’

A leading hotel group which is on the lookout for its first ever ‘ambassadog’ to help front its brand-new dog-friendly offering has issued a final call for applicants. To mark National Dog Day last month, Crerar Hotels launched the search for a furry face to front its new Dogs of Crerar Hotels campaign. The award-winning group, which owns and operates a collection of dog-friendly four-and-five-star luxury hotels and inns across the country, called on pet owners to share their favourite photographs and videos of their pups at a Crerar Hotels property using the hashtag #DogsofCrerarHotels.

The lucky pooch chosen as the winner will claim the title of Crerar Hotels new ‘ambassadog’, as well as being invited to enjoy a stay at a Crerar Hotels’ property of choice. Niall O’Shaughnessy, General Manager of Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa, said: "We’ve already seen some brilliant entries coming in, it’s been a real joy to see everyone enjoying their Crerar Hotels staycation with their dogs – no one likes having to leave their pooches behind when heading on holiday.

“We’re really proud of being so dog-friendly and our new Dogs of Crerar Hotels package is a brilliant addition, I’d encourage any last-minute applicants make their move before we decide on a winner!” Each hotel will also have their own unique offering for four-legged guests, but all packages include a welcome pack with a ball, treats and dog waste bags as standard, an information guide on nearby walks and local vet information. All properties will also offer plush beds, cosy blankets and water bowls. Entries for Crerar Hotels’ ambassadog competition will close on 30 November 2024. Guests staying at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa, Oban Bay Hotel, Glencoe Inn, Balmoral Arms, Thainstone House, Fonab Castle, Dunkeld House Hotel, Daffodil Hotel & Spa and Golf View Hotel & Spa are eligible to enter.
